Argentina is the 2nd largest country in South America.

The terrain includes rich plains that are good for producing natural resources in the northern half of Argentina and the rugged Andes mountain chain along the western border. 52 % of the land is made up of meadows and pastures while 22% is forests and woodland.

Argentina is the second-largest country in South America (following Brazil); strategic location relative to sea lanes between South Atlantic and South Pacific Oceans (Strait of Magellan, Beagle Channel, Drake Passage)
